Shaping Affordable, Healthy, & Sustainable Transportation in Tompkins County
GO ITHACA, Inc. is a 501(c)3 nonprofit transportation management association (TMA) based in Tompkins County, New York.
Our members are families seeking to save some money for themselves on their transportation bills. They are employers attracting and retaining talent with new mobility benefits. They are community groups serving the common good by eliminating mobility barriers. They are property managers enhancing the quality of life for residents and tenants. Together, we are creating transportation networks which are affordable, sustainable, and healthy for all Tompkins County residents.
Our agency receives our funding from the City of Ithaca, Tompkins County, and the TCAT IETA Project.
GO ITHACA provides commuter benefits that slash the daily prices of commuting and traveling in Tompkins County.
By promoting sustainable and ecofriendly transportation options, we can reduce our carbon footprint, decrease traffic congestion, and increase positive health outcomes.
Our team seeks to break transportation barriers for those who have been historically marginalized in our community.
From a bustling college town, to rolling farm hills, to a glistening lake, there is so much to do and see in Tompkins County. But it takes transportation in order to do it!
Since 2025, GO ITHACA has served the entirety of Tompkins County to enhance the affordability, sustainability, and healthiness of community transportation services.
When more of our residents can navigate through our county with ease, our communities become more productive, inclusive, and innovative.
GO ITHACA is excited to be funded by the Ithaca Electric Transportation Accessibility (IETA) Project, in partnership with other community transportation groups and providers.
In June 2026, the IETA Project launched eRide Ithaca, an on-demand, ADA-accessible, and fully-electric fleet of vehicles to provide greater access to clean and sustainable transportation to city residents living in the designated Prioritized Community (highlighted in orange and purple). Rides can be booked up to 5 days in advance through the mobile app or by dialing 2-1-1. GO ITHACA members receive extra discounts applied to eRide Ithaca!
By working together, we are enhancing electric mobility options for city residents. The entire City of Ithaca benefits from cleaner and more efficient transportation options on our streets.

Expanding alternative transportation options is key for creating a planet that is healthy and habitable! Since December 2022, GO ITHACA has been proudly funded by the City of Ithaca's Climate Smart Communities (CSC) grant award to promote our transportation demand management efforts.
Our incentive packages are designed to cut costs for commuters organizations while encouraging alternatives to driving single-occupant vehicles (SOVs) on Ithaca roads. We can save money - and the planet - by choosing new ways to get to get to our next destination.
For some in our community, there are steeper barriers to accessing essential transportation services. Since December 2024, GO ITHACA has performed Mobility Management on behalf of Tompkins County - building new bridges to those who have often been historically excluded or marginalized.
GO ITHACA has been nationally recognized for our EASY ACCESS Membership program, which offers enhanced financial support for those who may be income-eligible. We are grateful to our funders at Tompkins County for supporting us in our work to expand transportation access!
All of us - regardless of our financial means - deserve access to sustainable and healthy forms of transportation. Since 2023, GO ITHACA has been funded by TCAT's Ithaca Electric Transportation Accessibility (IETA) Project to enhance ecofriendly mobility options for underserved residents of the City of Ithaca.
Our planet demands that we re-imagine our transportation systems while ensuring that NO ONE is left behind. We are excited to participate in and support this visionary work with our IETA funders.
Join thousands of commuters in Tompkins County who are choosing cheaper, cleaner, and healthier transportation!
